It is a popular destination for tourists from Poland due to the large number of low-cost airline connections to many Polish cities. You can reach Rome-Ciampino airport with Ryanair airlines from Krakow, Poznan, Wroclaw and Warsaw. Wizzair offers flights to this airport from Katowice, Krakow and Warsaw. This airport is slightly closer to Rome than the other airport nearby - the <a href=\"https:\/\/viaitalia.pl\/en\/airport-rzym-fiumicino\/\">Rome-Fiumicino<\/a>. It is about 12 km from the center of Rome. The airport was put into operation in 1916 and is one of the oldest airports still conducting flight operations. relatively small (it has only one terminal), it is nevertheless one of the more popular airports in Italy. In 2019, it ranked 10th in terms of passengers served in Italy. The airport has everything you need for your trip: ATM, currency exchange, tourist information. Wi-Fi is available, but there is a fee. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Jak_dojechac_z_lotniska_Rzym-Ciampino_do_centrum_Rzymu\"><\/span>How to get from Rome-Ciampino airport to the center of Rome?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want to get to the center of Rome, choosing public transportation will be the Roma Termini train station - a train and bus station that is located right in the center. This station is a kind of transportation hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Autobusy_miejskie_metro\"><\/span>City buses + subway<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This option is extremely budget-friendly, as we can get to the center of Rome from the airport this way for as little as 1.5\u20ac! To get there by bus and then by metro, you need to buy a ticket, which is valid for 100 minutes from its validation, and which costs, as already mentioned, \u20ac1.5. 100 minutes is completely enough to cover the entire route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Autobus_lini_520_i_metro_A_linia_czerwona\"><\/span>Bus line 520 and metro A (red line)<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>After buying a ticket, take the bus line 520. The stop is located directly at the airport terminal. Get off at the last stop, named Cinecitta. Nearby is the metro station of the same name. Metro line A is marked in red. By metro we go directly to the very center of Rome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Autobus_lini_720_i_metro_B_linia_niebieska\"><\/span>Bus line 720 and metro B (blue line)<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Here, too, as in the previous case, you need to get to the metro station by bus. this time we choose bus line 720 and also go to the very end of the route: the Laurentina stop. After exiting the bus, we will find ourselves next to the metro station of the same name - Laurentina. This is also the last station of metro line B. Several local carriers operate at the airport, which will get you to the center directly, without transfers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Operator_SIT_bus\"><\/span>SIT bus operator<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The SIT bus company offers a direct transfer from the airport to the center of Rome for \u20ac6. A round-trip ticket costs \u20ac11. The SIT bus leaves on average every hour from the airport. It stops at Via Marsala 5, right next to Roma Termini. The trip will take between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on traffic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SIT bus departure times:<br>08:30 &#8211; 09:20 &#8211; 10:30 &#8211; 11:30 &#8211; 12:30 &#8211; 14:35 &#8211; 16:30 &#8211; 17:00 &#8211; 19:00 &#8211; 21:00 &#8211; 22:15 &#8211; 23:00<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Operator_Terravision\"><\/span>Terravision operator<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Terravision is a company that offers airport transfers not only in Italy, but throughout Europe. Here, too, a single ticket to the center of Rome costs \u20ac6.  Buses of this company run on average every few dozen minutes, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:40 p.m. The ticket is best purchased online, on the official website of the carrier <a href=\"https:\/\/www.terravision.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.terravision.eu\/<\/a>. It is also possible to purchase a ticket directly from the driver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Pociag\"><\/span>Train<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There is no train station directly at Rome-Ciampino Airport for travelers to use. The nearest train station is about 5 km from the airport in Ciampino itself. A local carrier operates there <a href=\"https:\/\/www.trenitalia.com\/en.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trenitalia<\/a>, which allows regional transport from there. To get to Ciampino train station, you need to get there by bus, and then take a train from Ciampino to the center, to Roma Termini station. The cost of such a trip is about \u20ac2.70.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Taxi\"><\/span>Cab<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also get to the center of Rome by cab. Official cabs are white in color and have the word \"TAXI\" on the roof. They also have the city logo and license number on the door. A cab ride to the center has a fixed fee and is about \u20ac30-40. Taking a taxi at the airport you should confirm the final price. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Uber_i_Bolt\"><\/span>Uber and Bolt<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Uber is admittedly available at the airport and can be used, but the price for this type of transportation from the airport is higher than the price for a cab. In addition, we have to wait for the driver, so Uber transportation from the airport to the center does not make any sense. Bolt, on the other hand, does not operate in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Wynajem_samochodu\"><\/span>Car rental<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The option makes sense if the trip to Rome is not just a City Break, and we are setting our sights on more than just Rome itself. If we plan to explore the city itself <a href=\"https:\/\/viaitalia.pl\/en\/rome\/\">Rome<\/a>, then the best option will be to use public transportation to get around. However, if we want to <a href=\"https:\/\/viaitalia.pl\/en\/how-to-rental-a-car-in-italy\/\">rent a car<\/a>, we can do it through numerous rental companies.
