Airports in Sardinia (Cagliari, Alghero, Olbia) - access, information

Sardinia is one of the most popular destinations for Polish tourists (and not only). This picturesque island in the Mediterranean delights with its beauty and is very often chosen as a destination for holiday voyages. Sardinia is the second largest island in the Mediterranean. It has a typical Mediterranean climate. The best time to visit Sardinia will be the months from May until October. There is little rainfall then, and the average temperature is 20-30°. The other months from November to April are more rainy, and it is also definitely windier then.

The island is most easily accessible by ferry from many Italian cities, as well as nearby Corsica. Tourists from Poland will be pleased to know that many cheap flights are available to Sardinia from several Polish cities. The area of Sardinia is very vast - fortunately There are as many as 3 airports in Sardinia. Two airports (Olbia and Alghero) are located in the north of the island, and one (Cagliari) is in the very south. Unless you are renting a car locally, keep this in mind - the distances from the various places on the island are significant! So when flying to Sardinia, let's choose the airport closest to our destination. Renting a car will also be a good option, which will give us the freedom to travel.
